Triclosan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Triclosan is an ingredient that is often added to toothpaste to fight oral bacteria. Unfortunately, it can bioaccumulate within human tissues and interfere with hormone production. Its health effects are well-studied. Triclosan was even banned in many consumer products, such as soaps and gels, back in 2016. Unfortunately, it is still allowed in toothpastes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sodium Laurel Sulfate (SLS)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

SLS is a foaming agent found in many types of toothpaste because it helps to clean away food debris and helps active ingredients to make contact with the teeth. Parabens<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Diethanolamine (DEA)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
